Agreement with University of Milan targets cooperation in research

The new agreement with University of Milan materializes the existing partnership between the two institutions. Ongoing projects include MicroRNAs in frailty-associated cognitive impairment (MATCH-In), which features PUCRS as the only non-European university involved in the project.

Neurologist Douglas Sato joins International Society of Neuroimmunology

The Superintendent for Teaching, Research, Development and Innovation of the Brain Institute of RS (BraIns), Douglas Sato MD, is now a member of the International Society of Neuroimmunology (ISNI). He is among the 12 new board members who have been selected by a group of more than 200 voters.

School of Health Sciences professor Dr Ana Elizabeth Figueiredo, delivered a training program for doctors and nurses from Sudan (Africa). The course on dialysis featured theory and practicum work at Soba University Hospital and at Dr Salma Renal Center.

School of Medicine to offer four Summer Courses for international students

Registrations for the School of Medicine's new Summer Courses for international students (undergraduate level) are now open . The three-week program will give them a chance to have practicum work in four distinct areas – Surgery, Urology, Obstetrics and Clinical Neurology –, at São Lucas Hospital at PUCRS.
